About
Jakob Thorkild Overgaard works with music across improvisation, electronics, interdisciplinary methods, contemporary concerns, teaching and essayism.
“My work is informed by the sources that surrounds us — historically, within the realm of artistic practice, politically, socially, technologically, and through the conditions of our own existence.
The task of translating observations, considerations, hypotheses into sounding material of individual experience is at the core of my work.
My practice moves between improvisation, electronics, composition, interdisciplinary methods, writing, teaching and visual research.”
